A Poem a Day for 2022: Week One, Jan 1-Jan 7
I gave myself the challenge of writing a poem a day for the year of 2022. As a way of setting my intention of being a writer, or of living a writer's life. Because when you write every day, you see the world differently.
These poems are works in progress. They have not gone through the rigorous revision process that poems live for. Instead, these are 2-day poems. On day 1, I observe and take note of things, and then write a draft of a poem in the evening. On day 2, I revise that draft, and put it out there for people to see. In between the writing and the recording, I can't help but change words! So you may find that the audio version differs a bit from the written version. Poems are never finished, you just say "good for now!"
Hope you enjoy these.
